A Giant of a Pantomime!

Honiton Pantomime Society’s 30th Anniversary production was the first directed by the society’s youngest ever director Alex Jackson. After performing ‘Ali Baba and the Forty Theives’ and ‘Babes in the Wood’ the Honiton Pantomime Society decided to return to one of the most famous and traditional Pantomimes ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. This hilarious script by Keith Marsden and Geoffrey Rundle¬† was fresh, demanding and fast paced.

Highlights of the script included a spectacular chase scene where the Giant’s head followed its body, a brilliant messy scene where the dishwasher in the kitchen came to life whenever the Dame tried to use it, a caterpillar, a bumble bee, a blue-bottomed-fly and a dragonfly. On top of the classic Panto ingredients; Pat the Cow, Dame Trot the golden harp and the egg-laying goose. Slap-stick galore and gut-wrenchingly funny Panto routines made this Honiton Pantomime Society production one to remember.
