Honiton Community Complex

Honiton Pantomime Society is proud to be a supporter of the new Honiton Community Complex. There is a town vote on Thursday 10th May (this Thursday) on whether we would like to project to go ahead. We would like everyone who supports us and other local theatre productions to vote "YES". In order to vote, you will need to go to your normal polling station - either the Mackarness Hall, The King’s Centre or The Heathfield Inn - between 4pm and 9pm on Thursday. If you are not sure as to your polling station, please go to the town council office in New Street.

For more information about the centre, please click here.

We as a society are entirely behind the new centre, and if you like what we do, we know you will like the centre too.

Honiton Pantomime Society
Honiton Pantomime Society is a very friendly group who perform a pantomime in February and a Review in August known as the "End of the Pier show, or EoP for short. The Society has a membership of around 70 people per year, who are keen to help in all aspects of the shows, be it on the stage or working hard in the wings. We have a great team making scenery, costumes and props, as well as organising sound, lighting, make-up and the front of house.

We have a wide age range of members (some at 9, some at 109!) and we are always looking for new people to join our ranks. Even if you only want to make the tea, we're always keen for fresh faces to get stuck in. In order to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity for a part in the performance, auditions are held for every new show. The chorus is available to everyone and is a great way to get stuck in, especially if your not too confident yet, but really want to try something new. Our directors are usually found from within the members, and all have had fabulous times producing wonderful shows.

We usually rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and have around 6/7 performances of the shows, which can be seen at the Honiton Community College, with the near 200 capacity hall packed on many of the nights.
The End of the Pier show has been a successful addition to the groups talents and has been enjoyed massively by the crowds, and most importantly the Pantomime Society members! A fresh ploughman's meal and some light-hearted entertainment keeps everyone's spirits high throughout the evening.
As well as the two main shows each year, we like to keep ourselves involved in the community, aiding many of the local charities and staging a few fun nights each year (Pub Quizzes, New Year's Parties, etc...).
If all of this sounds like your cup of tea, then why not get in touch? We're always looking for new ways to have fun, and new people to do it with! The best way to get in contact with us is via our Contact Us page, fill in the contact form, and we'll be right on it.
